Wow...2 in 1 day
My goodness. Two posts in one day!! Aren't we special?? So uhmmm, yea I finally got it figured out and have the BLOG on the WEBSITE and so that you can just click on the "Blog" tab and it will take you right to the blog. I am just so darn proud of myself. It's these little things that just warm the cockles of my heart. Be proud of me people!! hahah Well, gonna go for now. Who knows, maybe I'll throw in a THIRD post. Nah, probably not, but ya never know.
Is it published or not?
Hey there, hi there, ho there. Well, is it published or not? THAT is the question. I am hoping that the answer is YES. I might have to wait and have the fam check it out for me. That's just ONE of the things I've been up to. How about YOU?? Since my last post I've been into a few things. lol I had a great time on Thursday night at the Pin Cushion. I did manage to get the Charity quilt done and delivered. I met with a new customer and got to meet with a few "repeaters". Then I did get to go to Lancaster, PA on Friday!!! YAy for me. I had a great time. While we didn't get to the AQS show in downtown Lancaster, we were at the Quilter's Rule and the Lancaster Quilt Shows. They were right across Rt. 30 from each other. It was FREE for BOTH, NO PARKING FEES and they had a shuttle bus (free, too) to take you back and forth. We then ate at Shady Maple, went to Good's Country store and then to Obie's fabric store. I was wore out by the time I got home!! hahaha I really enjoyed the time with Ethel and Marge and Nancy, too. I got the Leader Grips system for the long arm and a new ruler and cutting tool. (it's a REAL scalpel like surgeons use...look out Richard if you tick me off!! jk, jk) I kinda played hooky from the shop this weekend, but I've been down here all day today. The shop got a good vacuuming and dusting and I am working on a customer's quilt. I have the binding totally made and just waiting patiently for Miss Lola to finish the quilting. I plan on putting the binding on tonight. I might even squeak a walk in between. That is if my Lola baby can get the quilting done in time. Now that I've rambled on, tell me what's going on with you? I'd love to hear from you. Until then, Take care and Have a Blessed day!!!!! xx oo

Whew, just had a scare!
Just tried to log in today and COULDN'T. Boy was I getting a little queasy. Just thinking about the time that I had put in to make this darned blog and then have go off into cyber land. But...here it is!! Yay for me!!
So, how was YOUR day? Mine was good. I finally finished the Charity Quilt for my one guild. Finished that last night about 1:00am. That's why I didn't post anything yesterday. I was diligently trying to get that done so that it can be delivered tomorrow night at the Pin Cushion. I hope they like the designs that I chose. I'm a little disappointed in the quilting. I kept having some trouble with the tension. Not sure what it was, but I'm leaning to a combo of the following: fabric, thread and winding my own bobbins. I'd have been in big trouble if it was a paying job. lol But, I think it will suffice. I'm sure that the recipient will be tickled pink with it. And that is really what counts.
Then today, I went to another guild that I belong to, the Wenonah Depot Quilt Guild. Packed my lunch and headed out. Had a great time, except for dropping my sandwich and totally making a mess.lol "Messy Marvin" right here. hahah Anyway, I showed off the 3 baby sets. They went NUTS over them! Who knows, maybe i'll get a couple of orders and maybe not. Maybe it will just inspired some one else.
Funny story and then I'm signing off. Last night Taylor was eating some fresh raspberries that we had picked up at Sam's club. They were beautiful looking. She eats several and then begins freaking out. There in the bottom of the container was a dead spider! And she HATES spiders!!! It was quite a scene. She kept saying "all I can see are his fangs" hahahahah. So, time goes on and I'm back downstairs working on the quilt and she pops down. She starts coughing and then proceeds to say "I can just see it now: if I coughed up one of the spider's legs just now I think I'd just hurl"! Well, I got a fit of laughing cause I got that WHOLE visual picture thing happening. Well, I guess ya might of had to be there for that one!! So...on that note I will bid you all adieu until tomorrow!! XX OO

Wow, Is it really this late?
Well, I guess I should be shutting it all down for the night, but here I am. Still working away. Today was interesting to say the least. I had to go have bloodwork down. Well, yeah, once a cancer patient, always a cancer patient. lol Anyway, I did get it done and not too beat up. Worked on a charity quilt (that'll be for tomorrow's post haha) and then Richard and I wound up at Sam's Club. You know how that goes...you go in for one or two items and then an hour later, a cart full and your bank account emptied you roll outta there. Yep. It happened to us. But, we did need all the food we got so Matthew shouldn't complain about the lack of food. At least for a day or two. Came home, put the stuff away and Richard grilled up some of the tenderloin. Boy was it YUMMO. That and a salad was all that I needed. Then I had a cup of coffee and a cheese croissant. And I am STILL under my WW points!!! What a difference from yesterday when it was all over with in one salad. Remember that post?? Gee. could it be that coffee that is keeping me going? Prolly. That and the 32 oz. diet coke. haha Well, I guess I will go for now. I do need to run and check on Lola and the job she is doing on this quilt. Nighty night...don't let the bed bugs bit!! xx oo T

Evening everyone! Hope that you had as good of a day as I did. Didn't start out very good, as I didn't sleep good, but it got better. This is a picture that just says"SPRING IS HERE". Yep they are right outside in my yard. And yep, I ran out in my pj's and took this pic first thing this morning. So happy that spring is here and that daylight is just a little longer. Richard and I went to Atlantic City to the ISS Convention (ISS is short for Imprinted Sportswear Show). It is a convention sort of for the garment industry but really for thos that either do embroidery or screen printing, etc. It was quite interesting. We are were starting our search for a dedicated embroidery unit. And, of course, we found what we want. Gonna have to put it off until fall when a couple of the cars are paid off. You know how that is! Well, after walking around for about 3 hours we finished up and left. We walked over to Longhorn Steakhouse to eat. Had a great time until I started looking up the nutritional values of my Chicken and Strawberry salad. WOW is all I can say... unbelievable that a salad with chicken, strawberries, mandarin oranges, grapes, lettuce, onions, bleu cheese crumbles and sugared pecans could be WORSE, yes I said WORSE than a 7oz. filet mignon, shrimp with a garlic sauce, salad and baked potatoe!!!!!! I even talked to the manager about it. It seemed shocked too, but who really knows. Well, we had a nice drive home. Richard is up doing what he LOVES to do, watch NHRA Drag Racing. Im down stairs getting ready to load a quilt on the frame and get it ready for tomorrow. Guess you know what WE will be doing tomorrow?? So, from all of us here at Sugar Grove Creations, g'night!! oh, and Sweet Dreams!!

Very First Blog
Well hello there! This is something that we've been putting off for awhile and finally decided to "bite the bullet" so to speak. Yes, we've started blogging. We're gonna try and keep up with this, but can't make any promises lol. Well today was a busy day. We went to Mister Sew and Vac in Pitman for an embroidery demonstration, well, that's what WE thought! It was VERY nice. They really out didi themselves. They had coffee, tea and all sorts of breakfast pastries, etc. Then they gave us menus (3 different choices) to pick something for lunch!!! The seminar was put on by Brother and it was on the
Pr-650 and the PR-1000, both are amazing machines. We have decided that we will be getting one, but we need to wait about a year, this way we will have eliminated 2 car payments and will be in a better position financially to afford this addition. Then we went to Lowes and Home Depot. That's always fun. hahah Richard is at the Flyer's game (thank you Jackie Fenton and Sherry Herndon for the tix) and as for me (Tamme) I am sitting here trying to figure out this blog stuff! Tomorrow we (at least me) are planning on going to Atlantic City to the Embroidery Convention. Well, I think I will close for now. Will give an update on tomorrow's activities
